One of my projects in my second year at University was to design and create an application that controls video, audio, heating and lighting for a house. I had to design a layout that would make it easy for the user to use, and I also had to take into account language barriers. To do this I created buttons that had an image instead of text as this would make the application more usable. Below is a screen design for the interface of the meCentre.
